Some of our projects

There is a lot more to home improvements than simply painting. Every project has some unique challenges which we really enjoy. Here is gallery of some of the things that we’ve imagined and built.

Curved Shelves

Here we built some curved shelving, added LED backlighting and concreted the hearth to really bring an inglenook fireplace to life. We also believe the ratio of drink to books is reasonable.

Green Roof and Pergola

This was a really fun project. A tatty old store for some bins was replaced by a 3 bay shed, log store and a green roof.

We then replaced some worn out turf with a walk through pergola and extensive gravel.

Panelling

Panelling this one wall made a great feature to a living room. Reindeer head optional. We added the lights, moved sockets and replaced all the fittings. More traditional panelling and a dado rail transformed the hall and stairs.

New Kitchen

This was one of those “how hard can it be moments”. Turns out that it isn’t that hard. A discussion about a poorly designed old kitchen, design and order on diy-kitchens and a few weeks later we’ve a new kitchen! The new recessed lighting made a huge difference and yes I did fix the missing piece of coving!

Magic TV Cupboard

Best compromise ever? One half wanted a big TV the other didn’t. So we buried it to enable us to level the cupboard with the window sill, installed an electric lift and built a 2 door cupboard with oak offcuts.

The more interesting the idea the better

If you have seen something you wish to recreate or have a slightly off the wall idea then lets discuss it.
